The Mob Museum announces FREE admission for Nevada residents and buy-one, get-one admission for non-residents, sponsored by Zappos, to celebrate Kefauver Day, which commemorates the Kefauver Committee hearing that took place in the Museum’s courthouse in 1950. To allow guests additional time to experience the Museum, it will offer extended operating hours, remaining open until 10 p.m. on that night only.  I took the kids last year and we  had a blast.  It was so interesting and a great learning experience!

Named after Senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee, the Kefauver Committee hearings held in 14 U.S. cities in 1950 and 1951 were pivotal in the national fight against organized crime, as well as events that influenced the development of Las Vegas.

Vegas Strong March - Today!

Thousands to participate in Vegas Strong March on the Las Vegas Strip Today

The tragic shooting at the Route 91 Festival caused the country unimaginable heartbreak, but the Las Vegas community came together to show compassion and supported the victims and their families like never before.  We stood in line for hours to give blood, brought food and water to those in need, and created healing spaces to gather as a community.

Today, we will come together in a march of strength, prayer, and healing.

“Nevada is a place where working men and women have a real opportunity to provide for their families and achieve the American Dream. Nevada is our home, we are Vegas Strong, and we will not live in fear. Workers serve our country and our community every day, and we stand united and together, today and always.” – Geoconda Argüello-Kline, Secretary-Treasurer for the Culinary Union.

Vegas Strong March
Today - 5pm

The march will begin at Caesars Palace on Las Vegas Boulevard and ends at the Statue of Liberty by New York-New York Hotel & Casino.  Thousands of community members, local clergy leaders, and Culinary Union members will march.
