Health & Wellness Event

Last month my family & I were invited to a Holiday Health & Wellness Event here in the Los Angeles area hosted by Juicy Juice. We have had many changes to our family this year and one of the biggest challenges has been learning how to smoothly transition to a more healthy & active lifestyle. With the holidays here, it just seems to make it so much more challenging, but.......I'm always up for a good challenge and that is why I was so excited to have the opportunity to attend such a great community event.
With the holiday season often means festive feasting and indoor play that can reduce physical activity. With the colder winter months upon us, JUICY JUICE teamed up with Magnolia Place Family Center, a Los Angeles community hub that serves more than 6,000 at-risk children and families each year with comprehensive services and programs, to host the “Holiday Health & Wellness Event." The event featured FREE workshops that were open to the public, including a nutrition workshop on healthy eating by none other than Claudia Gonzalez, JUICY JUICE’s nutrition expert!
The “Holiday Health & Wellness Event” was part of an ongoing national initiative by Nestle Juicy Juice to educate parents about nutrition and child wellness. The event held in Los Angeles offered families workshops and tips on seasonal, holistic wellness for kids. My kids favorite workshop was the "Let's Get Ready to Zumba" where parents and kids got a lesson on the benefits of staying active and energizing with Zumba lessons! My daughter loves to dance - so this was a big hit! Lots of fun too! My son's favorite workshop was the lesson they received in learning how to plant seeds for their favorite "immunity" foods. (He planted peas)
