Thanksgiving Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! This was the first Thanksgiving that we spent with my family in over ten years! Our family has been through some rough times, and this year has sure been a hard one for more than one of us. It was so important for me to spend this year with my family, more importantly for my children who I want to make sure they know who their family is. Too often these days family separates and goes their separate ways.

We had a wonderful time with the kids as well giving thanks, then following we began ringing in the Christmas season. We spent Thanksgiving day at my Uncle's house with tons of left over food - can you believe my Uncle did most all the cooking! The turkey was so juicy, moist and had such wonderful flavor. Turned out perfect. Saturday we took the kids to the movies, then to dinner. We even had a special Thanksgiving treat - snow! Just what we needed Thanksgiving weekend! We broke in the fire place and played games until we all got sleepy. In the morning we took a short drive to the snow, let the kids play for a while and then walked around town. The snow was just the icing on the cake. This was really the perfect family weekend!!!!!!!

I will be catching up on emails and blogging through out the week....I hope everyone had as great of weekend as I did!
