Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is celebrating 100 Years of Magic at the Thomas & Mack Center this weekend.   We had the honor of attending opening night and let me tell you, Disney always knows how to put on a show.  This is why, year after year this has become a family tradition in our home.  No matter how old the kids get, young and old, we will always enjoy Disney.  I have to tell you, it was so cute.  In front of us sat a man in his 40's with his mother, who looked like she was in her 80's.  They didn't have any kids with them, they were just there enjoying the show.  Just goes to show, no matter how old you get, kids or no kids, Disney will always be a favorite!

This year, Disney is taking a look back at some of the most popular Disney films from years back.  Remember the Mickey Mouse Club & singing M-I-C-K-E-Y  M-O-U-S-E? It was so cool to see (mostly adults) singing along to that song!! I think my husband & I enjoyed singing along with some of our old time favorites more than the kids this time.  There were a couple movies that the kids did not know, but for the most part, it was alot of the same old family Disney movies we have all grown to love and pass down from generation to generation.

What impressed me about this years show, is that Disney kept it real simple.  There was not alot of props, just the characters from the movie and the music that went along with it.  What more do you need?  It was a great sing along show, playing alot of our favorite Disney songs and getting the audience involved.  Ending the show was the crowds favorite - The Lion King.   When the Lion King started, the crowd went crazy!!  It was amazing how crazy the crowd went for The Lion King.  Disney knew how to close the show and what movie to close the show with!

You still have time to catch the show!  They will be at the Thomas & Mack Center through this weekend.  Remember to use our code for your discount too!!  Have fun & enjoy the show!!
